Re: [Chrysler300] You know youre a car guy -300s in movies

A couple of comments on the D used in Quiz Show.  At the time the move was done the owner was Tom Turner but I believe Gary Goers previously owned and restored the car.

You will note when the person gets in the car showing the ignition switch is turned to start the car.  I believe the '58 was like the '57 in that one pushed the neutral button when the ignition was turned on to start the car.

If I'm correct on this my guess is it was shown that way not to confuse the general viewing audience as not everyone knew how Chrysler products worked back in the day.

Drysdale typically drove or was chauffeured in Imperial LeBarons. Many
Imperials used in movies - see the Online Imperial Club website.

To keep this 300 related: this topic was addressed about a year and a half
ago, but here is a short list in addition to those already mentioned:

TV show "Crime Story" from 1986-88 used one of Andy Jugle's C converts,
resprayed in black with dyed red interior by the TV producers

Movie "Quiz Show" used a white D convert in the opening scenes, owned by Tom
Turner at the time

Movie "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" from 1963 had a red '62 300 Sport
convert driven by Jerry Lewis (note: it was NOT an H)

Movie "Love Field" from the 1990s had a red G coupe in the first 10 minutes
or so of the movie

Movie "Bachelor In Paradise" from 1961 had a Cinnamon G convert

Movie "Cape Fear" (the original version, not the remake) had a white C or D
coupe

Movie "Golden Gate" from 1993 had an L

Movie "Imitation of Life" had a Gauguin Red C convert

Video "Love Shack" by the music group B52s had a white '65 300 Sport convert
(the lyrics went "I got me a Chrysler; it's as big as a whale.")

Not a movie fan; just a car guy
