Hi Mark,
The F trans along with the E and G were un-painted and left natural cast iron. The bell housings were also painted black with the engine, and were mostly covered.

Hi All:

Was the 300F transmission painted or unpainted? I'm ready to attach to the torque converter housing and realized it may need to be painted yet.
