RE: [Chrysler300] ethanol evaporation

Doug and all,

This is exactly why an in-line electric fuel pump is needed. It's not the '60s anymore. The fuel we now have, especially in California, evaporates very quickly. I had about a quarter tank of gas in my lawn tractor last September, and went to start it two weeks ago and it was bone dry. I wonder how the California Air Resources Board justifies the use of this crap fuel when the evaporation rate is so high. I suppose they think all vehicles have closed systems, think again, it's all politics.

Hi Group

The carbs on my H and on my 62 Sport (413) have been recently rebuilt.

Neither one will start without priming after setting for more than one day.

I don't even try anymore - just remove an air cleaner pour in a little fuel, let it set for a few minutes and start the engines.

I do try to drive the cars at least once or more a month.
