Re: [Chrysler300] Wire wheels

Jack,

If your car has a 4.5 bolt pattern (most do) you would have a 48 spoke wheel made by MotorRim & Wheel.  Aftermarket wires are available and there may be more than one source.  I suspect these days they come from China and will be 52 or even 56 spokes.

I'm a purist and would spend the money to have your factory wheels restored but this will probably cost far more than the repos.  In either case I highly recommend you spend the extra $$ for stainless spokes.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Wire wheels

I am sure this has been asked before but I am fairly new to the group.

I believe that there are two different reproducers of 1955 C300 wire wheels – my 1955 issued ones are difficult to balance, starting to wobble, look bad (pits and tarnish) and two spokes have broken while driving so far.

1.       Which of the new ones are best/better and why.

2.       Any recommendations?

Thanks for the help   …Jack

Enjoying the same C-300 since 1967
