Re: [Chrysler300] 1955 300 Radio Repair

If I can interject one point here!!!! Ask Jeff to add F/M stereo to the radio (Its a kit) and place the iPod jack into the fm input. Much better sound and do not have to select a station as the kit has the input built in. And you need to change to a dual voice-coil 6x9 speaker in the dash and add two speakers in the package tray with a balance control.  The cost is extra as well as speakers but much better sound.

Unless of course you insist on having 1950's sound for your tunes........

Regards all,
John

Jeff did a great job on my G’s radio, including adding a iPod cable. To use it you just tune to an AM spot without a signal (lots of those around here) and hit play.

Jeff Carter at JC Auto will do a great job on that for you, Steve.  He's in the state of Washington and his number is 425.672.8324.  He can either fix it or convert it to something you'd actually like to listen to.

Does anyone have a good source for repairing 1955 radios or updating to modern electronics maintianing original appearance.  The radio in my 300 finally died after 58 years.  thanks
