Re: [Chrysler300] Hydraulic Fluid for Converible Pump

I'm just gtting a convertible back on the Road, new hases and rebuilt top motor, etc. I used ATF, if you leak Brake fluid there goes your paint.....or so I'm told and understand. ATF much better if you get a leak or have troublles that require opening the system. IMHO.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Hydraulic Fluid for Converible Pump

Hello, everyone:

Type A Suffix A fluid is recommended by Chrysler for the convertible top hydraulic system on my '64. I can't seem to find any and would like to know if ATF+3 or DOT 5 brake fluid would be suitable replacements. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Ron Kurtz
