Re: [Chrysler300] 1964 starter question

Gear Reduction.  Chrysler switched the starter design to gear reduction on all cars starting around 1961 or 1962.  I don't recall the exact date of change over.  It is the gear reduction design that gives our MoPars of the era that unique starter sound.

Subject: [Chrysler300] 1964 starter question

Hi all,
Is the starter in the 1964 300k (one carb 413 ci) direct-drive or gear reduction?

Thanks,
Van
