Hi Harold,

 

HD suspension and brakes was an option package.  Amazingly the price was only $35, an absolute bargain even in 1965.

 

The data plate will indicate if your 300L has the option.  If you can take a picture of the plate and send it to me, I would be glad to decode the plate for you.  It will tell you all the options that are on the car.  Send it to my email address - 300country@xxxxxxx .

 

Most 300Ls have the data plate on the firewall next to the master cylinder.  Early build cars have it on the top of the driver side inner wheel well housing.

 

When you do look for and send a picture of the data plate, please also include the VIN.  Look forward to hearing from you.
