Re: [Chrysler300] 1958 battery type?

Just load the Osborn home page and follow the menu where you select the make of car you are looking for.  That will drop down to another part that lists "engine compartment decals".  The GR 27 battery label is P/N DD0584.  On the Gary Goers website, you can download a PDF of his latest catalog #10.  His label is on page 42, P/N 587A.

The decal (actually an adhesive-backed sticker) for the big Group 27 battery is available from Club members Gary Goers   http://www.gary goers.com/     and also Bob Jasinski       rpjasin@xxxxxxxxxxx     (if he still has any left).  Jim Osborn Reproductions also sells them.    http://www.osborn-reproduction.com/         The complete catalogs for Gary Goers and Jim Osborn are available online.     For a modest $5.00, the sticker is an easy dress-up for the engine compartment.

That takes a Group 27 type, Josh.

Unless you want to spend the big concours bucks for a vintage replica battery, try to buy one with a plain black case that you can remove the stickers from. Then somebody in the club - sorry I forgot who - sells excellent "Mopar" labels that will give a reasonable facsimile of a vintage battery appearance at a pretty low cost.

You know you're going to accidentally tank it somehow anyway within a few years and you'll need to replace it again. It doesn't grind you as bad if you don't pay too much in the first place.

  Hello guys,

What is the correct battery type for a 1958 300D?   I've got the red hold-down at home, but wanted to pick-up the right size battery to fit it after work tonight.

 THANKS!
  Josh
