Re: [Chrysler300] Harmonic Damper

YES...rebuild or replace the damper.  Continued use in this condition will lead to crankshaft failure!

The  ring on the crankshaft balancer/damper for the car has slipped ( a G) so it no longer accurately marks TDC. Does this affect the function in any way? I can easily re-establish and mark a new TDC but want to know if the slippage indicates a need to replace the damper. Thanks in advance.
