RE: [Chrysler300] new member introduces

Dieter,

I am very familiar with your car, as I helped the seller evaluate the car and I have taken many pictures of it.  Based on my inspection of your recent purchase,  it is a genuine 300F.  I am aware of the deck lid wheel cover trim being stolen in transit, and trust that you will find help in sourcing what is needed with Club members help.   Welcome to the Chrysler 300 Club International!

Hi all
My name's Dieter and I'm living in Switzerland.
Recently I bought a 1960 Chrysler 300F from a seller in the States (California, SF area).

It's my first Letter car and my second Forward Look car. The first car I bought 2010 from Milbank and has a 4bbl 354 Fire Power engine.

My Letter, the 1960 Chrysler 300F is a white coupe with an iron hog (A 488). It needs a full restoration because it suffers from a six year storage outside under a rotting blue cover with open hood and no air cleaners on the carburetor. So it's no wonder the engine is frozen and and the carburetors as well. I got the Letter from a very kind seller who stored it in a storage building for almost a year (it's the pre owner).

The VIN of my Letter is 8403126310 and I even do not know if it's a real Letter car. But I assume the threshold was too high to build a clone because there are so many parts unique at the Letter.
With the restoration I'll start in June this year. I assume the whole process will last for many years.

Kind regards

Dieter
