Re: [Chrysler300] video drone Macungie meet

I agree with Ray. While the Old US-27 Motor Tour was stopped in Harrison, Michigan last year a drone was taking off and landing multiple times while filming the show. The pilot was about 50' from the cars. It was a personally nerve-wracking time until the pilot and his drone left the scene. Others made similar comments. There is a lot that can go wrong with the control of drones.

Neat idea, BUT, a possible huge legal liability.
Hate to pee on the wheels, but,
If the drone crashes into the mass of folks there or slams into a car or 4, someone will PAY big time.
We can't have the 300 Club associated with it in any way.

Hi Bob,
At the outdoor wedding of our granddaughter on July 3rd at a winery in the country, the photographer used a drone with a camera, not sure that it was video. There were three photographers so they took a lot of other pictures including some of our 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe (Persian White with red leather seats) which was used as the getaway car. There were over 250 people at the wedding so the drone provided great coverage.

Also, a drone store was opened in Beaverton, Oregon in May 2015. They fly the drones in the store and larger drones in the parking lot in front of the store.

I agree that drones would supply great coverage of our meets.

I would like to hear from anyone with
experience on video drones.........
those flying helicopter remote control deals with cameras.

Seems to me this could be a great way to provide additional coverage of meet events.

Perhaps we might even be so lucky
that someone
will bring theirs to the Macungie meet.
