Re: [Chrysler300] 300E ................ horns!

One thing for sure, they shouldn't sound like anything a rice burner would produce.  Using the horns a lot, like on a country road often helps them produce the sound they should.  You can do it yourself or send them out if that doesn't work.  If they are sounding at all it probably isn't the relay, but corrosion in the horn.

Hi Everyone out there in 300Land!

Thanks in advance for any and all responses ......................

The horns on my car both seem to work, but they sound a bit tired and I don't even know exactly what they are supposed to sound like as no one in the local chapter of the AACA down here in Miami has a 300!  A couple of questions:

   o   Could it be the horn relay switch;
   o   Is it the horns themselves; or
   o   A combination of the two?

If it is the relay switch, that is simple and inexpensive to replace, but what about the horns?  Can they be rebuilt and if so where or does one purchase new horns / replacements and if so where can these be obtained?

Thanks and stay cool everyone!  Happy rest of the summer!
