Re: [Chrysler300] 300 G

Unless I am mistaken (and that happens a lot) the wheel centers for the F/G etc. were Buick Red.

Well Lindsey, you may find Cummins red easier to get than Chevy orange there in Manitoba. But in West Michigan the only way I can put tractor paint on my C is if I change to John Deere green. I probably won't.

I looked at the Chevy orange and thought it was a bit orange. The Cummins red is a bit to red. I like the red better. And is hard to match up the old colours, so easier to go to Cummins fir more if needed. Used it in my F cross rams too, where it is much closer match to original. Personal taste.

Just wondering --

You mention the E grill red color. Were the E grill and brake vents painted by the factory in a different red than that used on the Cs and Ds?

On the Cs and Ds the color match is best found by using the Chevy 283 engine red/orange. But if the Es used a different red, that wouldn't work.

I used Cummins red on my Egrill and intakes and on my F wheel centres. Not 100% correct, but can always get it and looks good. This email has been sent from a virus-free computer protected by Avast.
