[Chrysler300] Factory stall speeds

Perhaps a non 300 tech question, but with all the experiences in this group, some one knows this issue.
The factory manual for the 74  Dodge 904 LA auto. trans. w/318 states that the convertor  stall speed is 2125 to 2425 rpm's with 10 3/4" convert. unit.

Is this a true stall speed, such an after market convertor is rated at? ( of which I doubt)
Or is the real stall speed around 1200 rpm's?

Doing homework and can't find the real difference, so I seek wisdom from within.

Thanks,
Dave in VA.
