Re: [Chrysler300] Alternator Bracket

Go to the club website and click on the Tech Department.  Then move down to the Electrical & Instruments section and click on #14 spark plug wire routing for a G engine.  It is a video of the wire routing shown with pictures of an "out of the car" engine.  Pause the video and move the pointer to 5 seconds which is a frontal view of the engine clearly showing the adjusting bar for the alternator.  The next picture at 7 seconds shows the same but from a different angle.

Hi Guys,  I need some help from any 300G owners.   I need some information on Alternator and brackets.  If somebody could send me a picture or tell me where the belt adjusting arm bolts to the front of the engine.  I bought some brackets from Murray Park that he said they  came off of a 61 Chrysler Imperial.  But when I bolt the Alternator to the head the adjusting bracket, won’t bolt up.  It looks like I either have the wrong bracket or I missing a spacer either for the Alternator or the Adjusting bracket.  And also where does the adjuster bracket bolt to.  Water Pump?, Water Pump housing? or up by the thermostat Housing.  ?

You can responding to me directly at gbarker@xxxxxxxxxxxx     Thanks for your help.   OH  if I need a different adjusting strap for a 300G I’m interested.
