Re: [Chrysler300] Power Steering Repair

I use Vaseline. It will not affect the PS oil and canister can be removed easily.

Hi All, I received a rebuilt PS pump, removed my old one & am in the
process of installing my old fluid tank onto the rebuilt one. Both
mounting bolts had gaskets which were well sealed and glued down with
something.I made new gaskets. My question is: what's the best sealant
for the job? I come from the permatex era, but there must be something
more modern that is unaffected by the oil - or not? This is a job I
never wish to repeat. Chrysler stuck the air conditioner compressor on
top of everything leaving only a tiny space to get at the bolts. Any
thoughts on correct sealant greatly appreciated.
