Gloria points out that we don't have a page to illustrate

the style and location of letter car VIN and body data plates,

so we need to create one.

 

Your assistance is requested, especially for the years 1955-1959.

 

If you have a chance, please take pictures of your VIN and data plate

and send to me. I'll take it from there.

Do we have any pictures online of places where VIN and body plate tags are located.  Seems every year was different pre-1960.  I think that would be a help.
