Hi all:
 
I'm here in Japan freezing my tuckus off.  It's colder than a witches frasnarous!.
 
I tend to agree with John.  When I replace the pulley on the front of the crankshaft, I always put it in the oven for a bit and it slips on with no difficulty, therefore, with the heat expanding the metal, it should loosen the nut making it easy to remove it.
