Re: [Chrysler300] Using the listserver to actively sell parts

One other reason I appreciate having an opportunity to purchase parts from this group, through list-serve ads or classifieds, is that I have more confidence in both the quality of the parts and in a fellow member not trying to rip me off. Most postings for parts seem very fairly priced. For myself, when dealing with members, I'm more interested in getting the parts into the hands of someone who needs them than profiting from the transaction.

Just in case you needed to know, this was sent from my iPhone.

So Dave is cleaning out his garage from past projects and wants to share extra parts with the group, I just don't see the problem here.  I just wish that I had a need from some of those items!  The server is here for a reason, this is one of them.  We are a relatively small group of car owners compared to Mustangs and Corvettes, this is a different world, and I like it.  We help each other, and parts are a very important part of the picture.  If the message doesn't interest you, delete it, it's that simple.  We all do it every day, nothing new.  Another member just may need that part.

Anyone else, besides me, prefer not to receive an email every time David has something to sell?  And then, another email when it is no longer for sale (gasp).  I find it tedious and intrusive, and not a good use of the forum.

“Hey, I need an obscure part for my E”:  Just fine for mass distribution (until our forum works like other bulletin boards, and not everyone sees everything anybody sends).

Hey, I have an obscure part to sell for ’61-‘64s”:  Not ok.  This belongs in a classified section somewhere else, like on a website.

Thank you,
