RE: [Chrysler300] 1957 - 1959 Quarter window installation

Hi Marv,

You may find it useful if  you have a copy of Merle Wolfer’s  CD, “Restoring A Letter Series 300”. A copy can be obtained from the 300 Club, Inc. It is a series of articles with information on restoring a 1958 300D. The CD can be printed as an 88 page guide with many colored pictures which I had done at Office MAX.

You can order one from George Ver Berkmoes, Chrysler 300 Inc., Club Store, PO Box 874, Lakeside, CA 92040 for $12.00.

On pages 59 to 61 are pictures of the quarter windows, the window assembled  and instructions on the rear quarter windows including circuit breakers.

I find it very helpfully when doing work on our 1957 300C.

John

I am in the process of assembling my 58 D and am wondering if anyone has personally installed the quarter window in a 57 - 59 Chrysler recently. It is a lot different doing it on a restored car versus the removal process on an unrestored body.  The care required is so much more necessary.

The 57 and 58 service manuals are next to useless what with typos and vague instructions.   Would appreciate an email from someone who has recently done it.  I'm an "expert" on front doors now and hope to be on quarter windows soon.     Thanks for any help.   Marv
