Sounds like the 59's. Been awhile, but I believe you push on the middle of the moulding which slightly expands the edges to escape the clips.

Thanks for the reply.
The 62 rocker mouldings are held on with clips that are screwed onto the rocker panels.
Only one visible screw is at the very front of the moulding.
What I don't know is if there is away to pry them off of the clips, or if I remove the screw, can I pull/ slide the moulding forward for removal

Rocker panel moldings are held on with screws. If tight strike the screw with a hammer that will break them loose from rust. Not rocket science.
