Dear group, I am wondering if anybody has ever restored and/or repainted the rear quarter panel 62 medals (or other years) and how the results were? To get the right color wouldn’t be too difficult in modern times using a spectrometer (and on plus I have the correct color sample - received the new grille medallion from the Club store this year) Mine are not missing or cracked, just worn out. And to me restoring means not throwing away original and theoretically functional parts and just replacing them. Obviously new repros are not on the market, Gloria Moon told me. How is your experience? If repainting is not satisfactory of course I would be interested in good used ones as well.
