Re: [Chrysler300] 61 Chrysler 300G

Hi Mike,
The pad should say R 41 HP to be a G engine. Your date is December 30 1960. The HP stamp may be faint, or still hiding in crud.

Hi All,

Thank all of you for the answers or recommendations to the previous previous questions that I had asked.

Here's another one. I pulled the compressor to verify the engine ID numbers. See attached photo. R 41 and 1230. R 41 means 300G or 61 and 41 is 413. Is 1230 12 month, 3rd day 1960 or 12 month 30th day? The build date of the car or SO is 0315, March 15, 1961

I had to scrape about a 1/4 inch of sludge under the compressor, hasn't seen the light of day since 1961 I bet.

Thanks,
Mike
