Re: [Chrysler300] Club member 300 Hursts in Hemmings Muscle Machines

Jim and Group,

I saw Joe Gross' Hurst in the article. As for Michael Burke's 300-Hurst Prototype, we saw it 'live' today at the huge MCACN (Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals) Show in Rosemont, IL, by O'Hare - It was sitting in the "Barn Finds" area, wearing mostly primer. Andy Mikonis, Mark Obermann, John Begian, John's FCA buddy Jim and I spent the better part of the day walking the show. The only Letter Car represented was Tom White's beautifully restored Mardi Gras red with black top '61 300-G ragtop. Photos of this 300 at today's show are posted to our Chrysler 300 Appreciation Society Facebook page. To top off the day, John and Jim did some troubleshooting on my F, confirming that all's good with the motor and its electricals, after it cruising another 8,800 miles this driving season.

Hello Group II,

The same November issue of Muscle Machines has an article on the Inaugral Hurst Nationals at Carlisle . The article has a picture of Member Joe Gross's pristine 300-Hurst along with Member Mike Burke's long time owned 300-Hurst Prototype sunroof equipped restored car now owned by Cecil Montgomery.

Hello Group,

November's Hemmings Muscle Machines 'Modified Muscle' feature is of our 300 Club member Chuck Schoendorf's early Hemi-powered '52 Saratoga Club Coupe, that he built merging two '52 Saratogas - the 2-door center section onto a solid 4-door. The article describes the many subtle modifications he made to turn this car into a very capable rally car. Chuck has driven this beauty in the New England 1000 Tour and the [Arizona] Copperstate 1000 Road Rally that runs from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon.

It's a great article. I can email you a .pdf copy. You'll need to be a subscriber to read it on Hemmings' website.

Those of you who came to our Geneva, NY Spring Meet earlier this year met Chuck and admired his great looking Platinum C-300.
