On steering wheels, cannot say  enough good about Dand D automobilia. He did 3 for me (F ) they are better than brand new . So perfect hard to believe ; JY had same result . 5 years of talk is BS . This took maybe 4 months , but varies . Guy is terrific. We need to share good experience with vendors.. why I post this .

I did hear back from George about two weeks ago.   He has had two steering wheels of mine for about five years for recasting, one for a 1957 Windsor and another for a 1958 300D.  He reply to my status inquiry is that he has had technical setbacks in the recasting process and poor internet service.

Five years is a lot of time.

Email him repeatedly and he will eventually get back to you.  He has shipped items to me in the past, so I know he exists!
