Hi All, and check the auctions in Jan Mecum and BJ and Russo Steele eta al. There are some regional auctions in the east that are also pretty big. I think there are a few crossing the block in Jan (wasn’t specifically looking) and if you sign on as a ‘member’ of their web audience, they'll post the results for you (incluidng 8_10% buyer’s commission paid to the auction house). You can also use their search features on their sites to go back to earlier auctions over the years for that auction house and get prices on Hursts that have traded. Not that precise but gives a general direction for pricing in my view. Have seen a beauty aaking $50 and some 0h-so’s at $15.
And here’s my fire storm comment. They came back in ’70 as a marketing play with Hurst. I personally think they don’t reflect the pedigree of true letter cars.
