RE: [Chrysler300] 300G Motor Removal

I continue to advocate all letter-car owners and technicians become familiar with dual-member and fellow-Iowan-John Holst’s most excellent website.  It contains downloadable, searchable, printable service manuals and parts catalogs for all letter cars plus a plethora of other valuable information on our Beautiful Brutes.  http://www.jholst.net/          Click on “Chrysler 300 Resources” for an amazing index.

The 1961 service manual says see the 1960 service manual for engine service.  So, go to the link below and scroll down to page 15 for engine removal information.  Other readers are always urged to submit tricks and warnings based on years of experience.  I’d say be especially careful in removing the hood.  They are precious.  Best wishes for a successful operation.

Thanks again, John, for your work on scanning and arranging the information and for maintaining your personal and INC websites.

Subject: [Chrysler300] 300G Motor Removal

Hello All,

We are debating about removing the motor and doing a full motor restoration.  Anyone know of any literature with detailed steps on removing the 300G motor?

Thanks,

David
