Re: [Chrysler300] 1957 thru 59 Front Fender Radio Antenna

Follow up: Antenna parts for sale, plus other items as follows:

1) Note: I have same NOS antenna Ron is selling. I will offer mine after Ron’s is sold.
2) NOS manual antenna replacement mast's, as new condition, $125. Note: the plastic cap unscrews that holds the base to fender.
3) NOS replacement leads to radio. 2, are crimp on, 2, are screw on. $45 ea.
4) NOS top plastic with chrome base w/ rubber gasket (set). Very hard to find, $60
5) NOS Carter fuel pump in original Carter box. . I had this pump tested and works great. No’s stamped on pump. Chrysler part no.. 2264666 & Carter no. M3268S. The Carter box has Chrysler No. 2279 901 & Carter no. same, M3268S.  Don’t know why they are different? My info says this fits 59 – 63 Mopar V8. Do your research. $190.
6) Original Mopar rear window “complete” defrost unit. These fit under the package tray with return air that fits under one of the speaker cut outs w/ grill that matches speaker grills. The blower mounts under that return air plenum. The supply air comes from blower via a flex hose the connects to discharge duct that fits the underside of the long cutout just below rear glass. That discharge has a elongated trim ring that goes over the package tray upholstery. $300.

Rich,

Thanks for finding the link.  The antenna looks very similar to the one I have on my C, however, last Thursday at spring meet had a chance to view another C and instead of black plastic cap the part was metal (pot metal?) and had  provision on top of cap for a wrench.

The gentleman that owned the car thought the antenna was factory original as he had owned the car for 40+ years.

I understand this is still anecdotol information, but, too me it makes sense the factory antenna would be chrome plated and have the wench feature.

The antenna that is shown on the link looks like the same type I purchased 17 +/- years back and always thought was correct.

Understand mfgrs can have more than one supplier for purchased pa rts (ie antennas) and this may be an example.

Just my 2 cents.

PS. My antenna works just fine.
