RE: [Chrysler300] 1964 300K

It is common for the shifter to seem stuck in PARK when the car is parked on a slope and the parking brake not used to set the car in place before the shifter is moved to PARK.  This places a lot of force on the park pawl in the TorqueFlite and makes moving the shifter out of PARK.  If it only happened once it is probably not sticky linkage.   I just viewed my exposed shifter and don’t see any obvious places to lube.  The shifter lever does slip into a steel notch and must be moved to the left before pulling the lever back to any other position.  Be sure to move the lever hard to the left before pulling on it.

My floor gearshifter got stuck in the park position once, would it help to lube it, and with what type of lube?
