Oh, for craps sake!
Assuming the part # shown is correct (1948354), just put it in search on eBay and there are dozens of them from $10.50 up. Nothing special about yours, the same cap was used on many models of many car lines for many years, back in the day. Find and deal with an OLD parts house, with dark caverns of shelving full of parts. They are likely to have anything hid back there. Of course, only deal with on old fart like us when asking, he'ss know right where it is..
Should be common as opinions...

I would think that any of our suppliers (Murray Park, for example) would have a bunch of them sitting on cars in the yard.  I'm sure they would go for less than $200.00.

Wow!! $200 for a gas cap. Things are getting expensive. I might have a original that I glass beaded and cad plated, looks like new. I would have to verify I have, $2 shipping.

I have an NOS locking gas cap 1948354 in the box, which is in good shape for $200 plus $20 freight to the lower 48. Use Paypal.

Harry:

Be sure to get a “Vented” cap and one that has good “anti-splashout” capability as the tank filler sits so low.  Mine has this stamped into the steel:  “VENTED  ANTI-SURGE”.  No brand name and it fits a little loose so may not be the best one for the car and probably allows a little fuel loss when full and digging out.  Check it out at the store before you pay for it—if they trust you.
