Re: [Chrysler300] Corbin clamps again

Correct warning . Corbin appearing wire clamps from China are junk . But sold everywhere . If you open even a tiny bit they take a set and do not come back . This is due to improper heat treat of the wire which needs to be at “spring temper” . In my experience with assortments , all are soft steel wire  , probably no heat treat  at all, look great , often “shiny cad plate “ looking , will not act correctly . As often on fuel lines , gotta be the right stuff . If it opens a bit and does not come back to original size it is junk .

Dave,
Wherever you end up sourcing them, make sure the right number is stamped on the Corbin clamp. Take a caliper and measure the outside diameter of the rubber hose itself. See how many sixteenths of an inch it measures, and that is exactly the number you want stamped on the clamp. E.g. - if the hose OD measures 1/2", you want the Corbin clamp #8. Any other number either won't fit or will be a leaker.

I believe Jeff Carter has some.

Does anyone have a source for the flat spring clamps, Corbins, that are correct for 300fuel lines?

No: Napa, or other auto suppliers. Home depot
even-bay I'd hit or miss.
There are 10 clamps on the standard fuel line.
 Screw clamps are not original.

A 1/2 fuel line needs larger than 1/2 clamp

Any leads would be appreciated

Thanks,
