OFFICIAL 2019 PAINTING


Lake Minnetonka-area artist Thom Lofquist has returned to paint the 2019 10,000 Lakes Concours d'Elegance artwork.

 

Thom enjoys experimenting with painting styles and in this painting, he tested his hand at a vintage and simple 50’s style Ad Agency look. The idea was to do a flat and stylized quick painting because ad agency artists of the era were often under a serious deadline. It is ironic that such a flat and relatively primitive art is so much in vogue once again.

 

This painting will be featured on the cover of the 201910,000 Lakes Concours d'Elegance program!

We are excited that this beautiful 1959 Chrysler 300 E Hardtop will be coming to the 10,000 Lakes Concours from Winnipeg, Canada! Owned by the Fuller's, this car features seats that can swivel through a 60-degree angle to ease entry and exit. See this car on Sunday, July 28!
