Worked for our F too.
I guess we both read that article in the 1973 Old Cars Weekly magazine about the problem.

Years ago, 1980's,  I tried to remove the rear brake drums on my 1956 Dodge when I was restoring it.  For love nor money would a puller move them.  One of my auto parts store guys recommended loosening the castle nuts a turn or two and driving the car around the block a few times.  Worked like a charm!  I used this same technique on my 300F to eliminate certain words coming out of my mouth so I would not have to hear the wrath of my wife.
