[Chrysler300] Rear Main Seal - Helpful Hints

Its been about 25 years since I've rebuilt a motor; shame on me.
My 17 year old wanted to learn, so we decided that our 1962 300 Sport should be brought back to life!

We have our 383 motor back from the machine shop.
We are assembling.....
And now for the dreaded Rear Main Seal!

Any helpful hints are welcomed!
And detailed hints...like...

Use sealer (or not) on the rubber upper & lower seals?
Dip the side sticks in oil before installing them?
How to get those side sticks to shove down with the aluminum retainer without them constantly sliding up?
Do those side stick require sealer of some sort?
Any rear main seal better than another OR will any Fel Pro do?
Preference on Silicone Sealer versus Permatex Ultra Black?

I just recall rebuilding the 413's my wife & I built many moons ago and that was the WORST part of assembling the engine!
So...Not wanting to resort to constant swearing and throwing of tools in front of my 17 year old....
Seeking any and all club wisdom on this matter!

Thanks!
Matt Allyn
