RE: [Chrysler300] Power steering fluid

Tomas,

I have always used power steering fluid available from local auto parts stores, however, there are several types usually offered.  Look for the brand that doesn’t exclude Chrysler products.  Some will exclude certain makes, like Honda or others, read the container.  The service manuals I have here for ’60, ’61 and ‘65, all specify Chrysler power steering part number 2084329, whatever that is.  Personally I would not use transmission fluid, but I know others have.  The bottle of PS fluid I have here states on the bottle, “Do not use in transmissions”  Don’t know if the reverse is true.

Hello group

What type of oil should be used for power steering when changing oil?
