While I agree that you can not trust Wikipedia, especially on Technical matters, the Super Service Data Book for 1956 - which was generally the Bible for tire and battery dealers back then shows 2H series (6 volt) batteries for all Chrysler in 1953 and for all except Crown Imperial C56, NY 8 Pass, NY Wagon V8, and NY V8-C56-1 which have 28S 12 volt batteries. The Windsor series continued with the 2H batteries up thru 1955.

According to Wikipedia the 53 imperial crown used 12 volt

The c70 Imperial In ‘55 had 12 volts.

Not all.

The Crown Imperials in the early 50s

were 12 volt and they were neg ground.

All Chrysler Products produced before 1956 were 6V positive ground. Including the C300.

Smoky and hot Brentwood, CA—but can’t complain as many have it worse.  Human, livestock, pet and wildlife lives continue to be lost as well as massive property damage in the CA fires.  I did see a picture of a burnt-up ’39 Ford in the news and assume other collector cars were lost.  Hoping the insurance companies treat their customers fairly.  Hot temperatures and high winds predicted for today.
