Re: [Chrysler300] Power Steering Box Rebuild

I have had really good experience with steer and gear .5-6x . including 57 coaxial twice . While we need and appreciate Lares they wanted 600 to rebuild 57 vickers steering pump . said no way , put in a saginaw gm pump new for 75 .  made the adaption parts myself . you can buy 800 psi output pressure regulator ( for coaxial ) made for use of mustang rack and pinion  with reliable saginaw pump .( normally 1000 psi)

Hey All -

For anyone that has had an early (1955) coaxial power steering box rebuilt.  Which major rebuilder is preferred: Lares or Steer and Gear ? The quote I just got from Steer and Gear is about 25% cheaper than Lares. So any reason to go with one vs. the other, besides price ?
