RE: {Chrysler 300} 300 G

I’ve been running tires from Diamondback on my G since 2012, zero issues.  Pick your whitewall width, I chose the Coopers, P235/75R15, modern tires with correct whitewall.  Straight and true.

A distinction, if I have this right, Coker Classics are cheaper and I understand made in Mexico.  Coker American Classics are higher priced and made in USA.  I have American Classics on an my 55 C69 and my F and H and 8-10 in my view.  I have had minor issues with the white walls staying white, they seem to yellow a bit, but then again, so have I on occasion.  If you can get Silvertowns (BF Goodrich) in the size you need, they are on par or better; I have their pie crust bias ply  (no need to start that conversation again) tires on my ’57 Southampton.

agree with Ron totally . Classics are Only  way to go . I am surprised Coker keeps making the others . Trailer queen tires.

I Made the same mistake very early on . Since then I have bought 5-6 sets of Classics — no real issues , one tire had a bad whitewall damage / fit to carcass . They replaced  it . Look carefully when opening .
I run Michelin high end blackwalls on 15” up , 8 “ rims if expecting to drive it like a 300 though , — always a trade ...

For a number of years, I've heard from many people that Coker branded radial
tires were junk. Hard to balance. Failures after a few thousand miles due to
belt separation. Other problems. Coker does sell a line of tires called
American Classics which are very good. I have them on two of my cars and
have been very happy with them. You may be able to get American Classics
from other distributors as well.

I purchased 5 new 235/75 radials from Coker for my 300C. After

installation, the car was "all over the road" as you described. It was
unmanageable.

I pretty much knew it was the tires because the car drove fine before

installation. I took the car to my local tire dealer and he did a run-out
test on their balancer. The tires were all out of round.

To be fair, Coker took the tires back, paid shipping both ways and sent me

a good set. My problem solved !

My tire guy recommended next time ordering Coker tires thru a local

dealer.

A lot of hassle could be eliminated and not for really much more $ if any.

Hi  As a new member and owner of a 300 I have many questions. First
I hope I am doing this right?  I have a steering problem in that I
can't hardly control the car as it's all over the road. New Coker
radials.  Where do I start figuring out the problem?  Dave
