Hi Ray,

Coin is 38 mm

Badges are 60 mm

Coin can be attached either with magnet (32 mm) $1 or 3M double faced circles (50 mm) $2 needs to be trimmed to 38 mm.

3M double faced circles (60 mm) $3 needs to be trimmed inside the gears.

Just for those not aware, the 32mm coin is the same size as a Silver Dollar.
So you can get a Western belt Buckle and the new coin will fit in the holder.
The buckles are cheap, and you can wear the emblem proudly!

Want all to read John Grady’s remarks below.

I will be able to make both threaded & magnetic with the same mold. Magnetic version was never to attach to any grille. My grille is aluminum anyway. Please let me know if you like the magnetic option to stick a badge in the side of your car for a show, use as a paper weight or fridge or metal surface ornament.

It cannot be used on a moving vehicle.

For those who want the option to stick a badge to your car, you will want the flat backed magnetic version and get some 3M double sided adhesive.

Hi Tony , fyi , magnet on outside of car marginal unless very powerful ,(!usually means thick)  but main reason to write you is the grill mesh on 300 is usually aluminum , magnets won’t work anyway ?
good inside though .
I know how you feel .. I spent 4500 on 60 license plate frames way back , never did get there . Devilishly hard to make , any castings shrink  and angles have to be truly perfect or it won’t sit on car right . Plastic won’t take real chrome right ( spent a fortune on plastic injection  molding   tooling ,,listening  to “expert “  that it can be chromed . =no way  .
plus adding pins precisely , ended up with brass tapped 4-40 put in after . like the emblem . Never did succeed .
Good artisan and brass sand mold — keep adjusting 3-4 times — can get you there . tap for screws later . Guy passed away in middle of it .
Thank you for taking on ...

Hi To All who are interested in the magnetic version of the Grille Badge,

The custom emblem manufacturer only offers the threaded attachment or self adhesive permanent backing to be used to attach their emblems to a car while driving. Sticking these things on to the sides of our 300s is not an option.

I am told that the proposed strong magnet version of the Car Grille Badge, that I previously showed, should only to be attached for shows and not while driving.

Please “Reply All” with your feelings regarding the magnetic attachment emblem only being used “For Show” & not “For Driving.”

Once this discussion is complete, I will be asking for pre-orders that will not be binding and will not require any payment.

Need to know what % of the minimum order of #100 Car Grille Emblems needs to be “studs” and what % needs to be “magnets.

Need to know that we can sell most of the 100 that needs to be ordered.

Also need to gauge interest in commemorative coin that can be optionally magnetized to attach to your dash or glove box cover. I will be sticking the magnet to the Club logo side and showing the 50th Anniversary side while my grille will be adorned with the Club logo.

Since you can’t eat these things, I will need to be sure they will sell or else my 300-F  will be adorned with two of the most expensive “one off samples” of a grille emblem & a commemorative coin on earth.

I found an optional strong rare earth magnet with self adhesive surface that can sell for $1.00 each to convert the coin so that it can be attached to your dash or glove box so that one side or the other will show.  Also an optional self adhesive anti scratch protective tape for the back of the magnetic version of the grille badge, a square piece can sell for $1.00. It is meant to attach to the car to protect against chips etc. Just stick it to back of emblem and trim to fit with Exacto Knife. It will protect your paint.
