hi all , as mentioned in other email 7/8 too large ? that is .875 .

One source also said it changed in 57-58 time frame to the 5/8-18 used in B blocks too apparently . 

I do not have first hand experience with any even earlier hemi , but his one on my car seems to be an oversized replacement for a 5/8 -18 , on a stock 392 pan ...  

your mileage may vary .. !
