For the record I have Diamondbacks on both Gs, and my Ghia Limousine. I have American Classics on my 55 Imperial & a 66 Tbird convertible.

There really is no comparison, at least to me. The Diamondback white walls stay white, there is no “belt shifting” - I have that with Coker radials - the white walls require twice the attention of the Diamondbacks. 

I would not consider any other radial tire.

You are correct the Diamondback Auburn Premium HR78-14 would replace the 8.50-14. I have not seen in person, but pictures look a lot like the Michelin XWW of the 1979 time frame

Michelin 1979 Specs: HR78-14  27.5 in OD, 12.0 in SLR

BFGoodrich 1960 Specs 9.00-14  28.8 in OD, 13.26 in SLR

I know this question comes up pretty frequently but I’ve lost track of the answers.

What wide white radial do you recommend for the 9.00x14 for the F? I think it equates with a 225R14. I’m leery of Cokers for several reasons. The Toyo wide white radials work great on my ‘56 Golden Hawk but I’m not sure they are available anymore
