Didn’t get a reply on my question on engine painted Red. But I wanted to let everyone know that the price I’ll be asking for the Caramel “H”, Red 300 sport coupe with a 3-spedd manual transmission, and all the parts I have is $12,500.00.

I have a 1962 300H that as far as I know is almost original. Gil Cunningham and Mike Myers had come over to look at it after I had purchased it and Gil said it was very original and rust free in the inside quarter panels inside the trunk. The car has been sitting inside since 97’. The one question I never asked Gil or Mike was that the car was built 10-18 and the engine date was 9-21 which is pretty close. However, the engine is painted Red. At the time I never thought of asking Gil as I didn’t think anything of it. The valve covers and manifold are painted the correct color, but you can see Red under the green on the manifold.
If it was a replacement engine, why the close dates.
I’m getting it ready to sell it along with my 1962 300 Sport Coupe with a 413 and 3-speed manual transmission attached to it. A bunch of parts also comes with them. Center console from a “H”, spare 300H intake manifold with carbs and air cleaners, spare doors, fenders, hoods, grilles. Medical problems and taking care of my wife with Alzheimer’s is far more important, and if my sharing the reason for selling upsets you, suck it up.
