Thank you Bob, and keep the videos coming on that F coupe, it’s a long winter ahead…

You might be able to do it from the underside
but removal of the wheel and inner fender access panel
is easy enough to do and will
get you to the steering box connection.

As to access, you do this under car? Pull inner fender panel? Wheel? I’m imagining how I get to the steering box connection…?

You can get a length of power steering return hose
from NAPA or any local auto parts store.
I think it is 5/8" diameter. It is much stiffer
than heater hose.
You will find installation of the new hose
extremely difficult at the steering box connection.
New hose will not want to slip over the connection,
almost as if it was the wrong size. If you carefully
heat the new hose (with a hair dryer) it will add
some flex to the material and make install a bit easier.

The connection to the pump is not as bad but don't
abuse the pipe --  you could break the joint at the can
and have a leak.

Bob-

I think I've heard you twice warn in your videos not to use heater hose as power steering return hose because it will sweat. Well my F is a poster child for that.

What is the easiest way for a later middle aged male to tackle this on an AC car?
