RE: {Chrysler 300} 58 300D

I think 30K tops. My impression is that the car will need work. I see some questionable mechanical fixes that would need attention. Probably needs the carbs done as well. I didn't see any mention in the Hemmings description of how well the car runs, drives or stops. So if he doesn't want to take around 30K, walk away. If the car doesn't sell and the seller gets desperate, he may come down.

I was truly interested in this 300D in part because of the rare color and have been in communication with the selling dealerships since last evening.  $30,000 was my exact offer for it this morning after reading the discussion here.  The dealership checked with the seller (appears to be a consignment) and the seller turned me down.  No counter offer received.  So you will need another wheelbarrow of cash to get this one.  Interesting what EBAY may bid it up to if the seller is wanting higher.

The car is 'driver quality'. I see some incorrect stuff and what looks like a quick respray. The rockers look like cheap replacements. Poor fit. Again, go see and drive the car before making an offer.

Looks to me as an old partial restoration of a good original car now going backwards and peddled by a typical dealer will not help its cause. I see dull paint, poorly fitted passenger door, bubbling paint in front of the drivers side rear wheel where fudge likely resides and pitted chrome. Basically the condition of many of our cars when we started. This one needs a rescue.

The Club shows that 300D LC41669  is an original OOO color.  That is Tahitian Coral not PINK!   Wheelcover inserts should be red.  Interior shown is for a 300C.  The previous owner was the late  Luther Caudle.
