Re: {Chrysler 300} 300F backup light gaskets

Yes, sorry for the confusion of showing the black taillight gasket in my photo. I was only asking about the grey ones for the backup lens. I'll only be using one per light.

Here's a picture of my two 1960 Chryslers together for the first time. The wagon has been stuck in my shop as it won't start after sitting in a garage in Indiana for 40 years. Swapped spaces in the house garage with my 300F so I could put new bumpers and tires on the F and change the starter. The wagon will wait for another day.

The 300F back up light has a lens to housing gasket(BG2 in Goers catalog) and also a round rubber seal to act as the housing to body gasket(#563 on page 44 of Goers catalog).
The dark grey foam seal in your picture looks like a tail light housing to body gasket (HG4 in Goers catalog).

I had my backup light housings rechromed and now putting them back together. I bought the seals for them from Gary Goers years ago and only got two of the grey foam ones for the lenses but my car had them on both sides of each lens. Are they only supposed to be between the lens and bulb holder?

Thanks, Nick
