Re: {Chrysler 300} Car draining from Stereo system

Also seeing “flickers “ while it is off is a dead giveaway it is not turning Off . Either it is defective internally or they damaged it by a wiring error or it is still wired wrong .

While on this , over the past few years I lost two high end aftermarket car radios due to windshield or air inlet leaks that let rain drop behind the dash . And per Murphy right into the radio top .
So this time we made a little roof of thin easily worked sheet copper Over the radio , —the vent holes on top are not critical , ( unlike old radios ) as the heat is on the back aluminum heat sinks .
The edges have to stick out about 1/4 including beyond the heat sinks , and be folded down about 45 as water just follows around under a straight cut edge. FYI

The amps in back are running through the battery in trunk which is not drained. The music shop and the “parent” shop checked all with the meters, disconnected the stereo, isolator and alarm system from the main battery and said something is still draining so it couldn’t be the music. I reminded them that my car was not doing that before I brought it to them! I’m pissed but don’t know what direction to go in?
