Very sorry to hear about Gil's passing. He always wrote back with a nice note when I had a 300 vin decoded. I always looked forward to seeing him at meets. He will be missed.

Dear folks,

Gil died this morning having suffered with Parkinson's Disease for some time. .  He held our first 300 meet on his porch.  He was our first President.  He knew more about 300s than all of us together.

Gil leaves his wife, Carol, daughter Angela, son Graham, and  and all of his 300 family.  We will let you know more when we do.

We've lost a good friend.  It's a sad day.
