Since you have a non-ram 300K, the master cylinder attached to the firewall mounted power brake booster is the same and Newport, New Yorker, and 300 with power brakes. Some parts venders "assume" that all 300K's use the same brake systems as the ram models.

If you have a ram car, things are totally different. The firewall MC is a standard non-boosted MC, as might be found on a ’64 Newport, with the check valve in its nose driven out. The boosted slave cylinder under the battery tray will require rebuilding by a specialist—but can be done. There are several in the Bay Area of CA and likely others near you.

I would just go to Rockauto.com. I was just on their web site, they have various name brand master cylinders, with a cost range from $113 to $68 dollars. They will probably be the fastest parts delivery.

Hi Group:

I need a new master cylinder for my K coupe. Is there anything different with the K cylinders that would differentiate it from other masters? My alternative is to send it out to be rebuilt. Any suggestions as to a rebuilder. I remember White Post but I think they are out of business. Any information will be appreciated.
