I believe I read somewhere along the way that quoting 355HP from 354 cubes qualified this â€˜optionâ€™ to be the first Detroit production engine to make over 1 HP per inch. May have been a marketing tactic. Who knows.

Everyone wants their 300B to be a "special" one but as far as I'm concerned all 300Bs are "special".
